Assured Cappamore see off Clarecastle
An impeccable defence, marshalled by manager and former county star Diarmuid Sheehy, laid the foundations for a patient performance that wore down their opponents’ dominance before sub Niall Leahy’s goal just after the break gave them a lead they were never likely to surrender.
Clarecastle were on top early when Jason Considine and Adam Healy (two) gave them the lead after points from Cappamore’s Andy Moloney and Conor Sheehan. It should have been more but for missed chances and Leahy’s blocks off Éamonn Callinan and Alan Considine.
