McCarthy hails late heroics

Castlehaven manager James McCarthy was honest about his side’s display at the final whistle.

Managing six scores in 60 minutes wouldn’t augur well for the West Cork men against a talented Dr Crokes team in the provincial final.

“We wouldn’t be given a chance in the final based on that display but we showed battling skills to get through,” he said.
