Déise legend McGrath open to return in future

Ken McGrath says he may return to inter-county hurling management when he gains more experience, but he’s concentrating on his new job for the foreseeable future.

McGrath’s departure as a Waterford hurling selector was confirmed yesterday as he takes up a new post with Kellogg’s, and the Déise icon said: “I’d just finished playing last year and went back in with the lads early this season, which is very soon after retiring.

“That’s hard enough when you’ve played with so many of them, but when I was asked to help out, I was glad to do whatever I could to help.
