I’m not the man to raise the Banner, says Kearns

Liam Kearns has ruled himself out of the running to become the next Clare football manager.

I’m not the man to raise the Banner, says Kearns

Local media reported the Kerryman had been approached about taking over from Micheál McDermott. It was suggested Kearns had huge backing from the county board committee set up to find a new manager. However, he explained he won’t be making a return to inter-county management, having last taken charge of Laois, in 2008.

“I won’t be involved at all,” said the former Limerick manager. “I’m not in a position at the moment to consider it. I’m involved with Rathmore, UL and am halfway through a physical fitness degree right now. I’ve other things like Celebrity Bainisteoir as well.”
