Kerry GAA chiefs are to resume their search for a new hurling boss after first choice, Jerry Wallace, declined to take up the post.

Former Antrim manager, Wallace, looked set to take charge of the Kingdom for the 2013 season but informed county board chairman Patrick O’Sullivan that he could not commit to the role.

Wallace admitted yesterday: “I withdrew last week, as I have personal considerations to look after in the upcoming 12 months. I will not be seen on any inter-county line for the year ahead.”
