Managers must accept criticism, says Counihan

Does Conor Counihan feel that criticism of Donegal’s mass-defence tactics is unfair?

“Is it unfair? No criticism is fair when you’re a manager, so it isn’t! People set themselves up in terms of what resources they have, it’s up to everyone to do their own thing. I’m not here to criticise how others do it.”

When asked whether he would have employed a similar system had he been in charge of Donegal in last year’s All-Ireland semi-final against Dublin, Counihan replied: “That’s a fairly hypothetical one now. If I thought I could win, I probably would.”
