Injured Joyce unlikely to line-out for Rebels

It’s been confirmed that Cork centre-back Christopher Joyce is a serious doubt for this evening’s knockout All-Ireland senior hurling qualifier against Wexford in Thurles.

Injured Joyce unlikely to line-out for Rebels

Joyce, who marked his debut with an impressive second-half display against Offaly in last week’s qualifier win, is understood to have suffered a wrist injury in training on Wednesday evening, following the announcement of the team to face Wexford.

The injury will be assessed just before throw-in but, according to Cork PRO Tracey Kennedy, Christopher is “unlikely to play”. His position is likely to be filled by Eoin Cadogan, who had been named at wing-back, with William Egan returning.
