Proud Galway supporters snap up hurling jerseys
Following the stylish win over Kilkenny that broughtthe Bob O’Keeffe Cup across the Shannon for the first time, the demand for the county hurling jersey among supporters has increased ten fold, according to sports clothing manufacturer O’Neill’s.
This year, Galway had a new style jersey on show for the league and Leinster championship, but after last Sunday’s surprise victory, supporters are going out in their droves to buy the new-look jersey.
“Sunday’s unexpected has increased demand for Galway hurling merchandise,” a spokesman told the Connacht Tribune.
“Demand has been brisk and we expect as the All-Ireland semi-final draws closer that fans will be clamouring for the various items for the game and hopefully the final, where the real volume business is conducted.”
