Mortimer ‘has no regrets’ after quitting Mayo

Conor Mortimer last night said he had no regrets about his decision to quit the Mayo panel for the remainder of the season.

The county’s all-time top scorer communicated via his Twitter account that he was satisfied he had done the right thing.

Mortimer, 30, who informed Mayo manager James Horan of his decision on Tuesday, also responded to criticism of his departure in the week of a Connacht final.
