O’Regan leads way for Castletownbere

Castletownbere were the better side from start to finish at Kilmichael yesterday as they condemned Glanmire to their third straight defeat in this year’s championship.

Alan O’Regan was the talisman up front for Castletownbere with a tally of 1-5. But the Beara outfit had impressive performers all over the pitch, with Andrew O’Sullivan, Dave Fenton, Donnagh O’Sullivan and Dean Murphy all catching the eye.

Just as they did against Kildorrery and Cill na Martra, Glanmire allowed their opponents build up a head of steam early on. By the time they got to grips with the pace of the game midway through the first half, they were 1-4 to no score behind and never looked like clawing their way back.
