Kildare boss: Johnston was not available for selection

Kieran McGeeney revealed Seanie Johnston was not in his Kildare panel yesterday because he wasn’t available for the game when he chose the group on Thursday.

The Armagh native was satisfied the player would have been ready for the game but said: “You have to be available to be picked on a Thursday night for me.

“I can’t change the rules for individual players. I have always stuck to that despite of what people may think.”
