Diplomatic Harte keeps counsel on ref issues

Mickey Harte’s disappointment with referee David Coldrick’s officiating was thinly-veiled following Saturday’s defeat to Donegal.

The Tyrone manager was careful not to criticise the Meath man but when it was pointed out to him that the winners had fouled almost twice as much as his side — 29 fouls to 16 — he offered a wry smile.

“Ask some other people that. I don’t want to blame the referee for anything but I take the statistic in good faith.”
