The Munster Senior Football Championship could return to aseeded draw next year.

Munster moot seeding again

At last night’s Cork County Board meeting at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Munster Council delegate Jerry O’Sullivan revealed that the possibility of a reinstatement of the old system, which keeps Cork and Kerry apart, was raised at a meeting recently and will be discussed again before next year’s draw.

The seeded draw was abolished in 1991 before returning for two years in 2007. In addition, O’Sullivan said that counties are being asked to discuss the structure and format of the Waterford Crystal and McGrath cups as the involvement of third-level colleges is causing difficulties.
