Tyrone hit with double injury blow

Defender Carlin, who was superb against Armagh, lasted less then five minutes for his club Killyclogher in their league game against Carrickmore on Saturday and he hopes the injury won’t rule him out of the glamour clash.

“I felt something go in the lower half of my leg and I had to go off,” said Carlin. “Its very disappointing as I have worked hard in training to get into good shape and hopefully it won’t keep me out of the semi-final.”

Galbally man Murphy hit five points for his club in their derby meeting with Rock but in the final quarter he had to go into the full forward line after picking up a knock on his shoulder having also sustained the same injury when coming on at halftime in the win over Armagh.

These two injuries come hot on the heels of Justin McMahon’s continuing hamstring problems, the Omagh man not featuring for his club over the weekend after having to go off at halftime against Armagh.
