O’Keeffe wins it for Kildare

Leaving Cert student Emmet O’Keeffe kicked the winning point as Kildare came from seven points down at half time against old rivals Meath to snatch a place in the Leinster junior football final in a pulsating semi-final at St Conleth’s Park.

Having played in the opening two rounds, Dermot Earley played no part.

The Royals dominated the opening half and were four points clear within seven minutes. Three points from man of the match Andrew Tormey and a fisted effort from captain Rory Maguire gave them the upper hand.
