‘Pretty happy with 22,000’

Munster Council chiefs were “pretty happy” with the 22,068 attendance at yesterday’s Munster championship double header at Semple Stadium.

Munster Council PRO Ed Donnelly said: “We were talking during the week of a crowd of around 20,000. So to get 22,000+ was good, we’re pretty happy with it. We had a big walk-up crowd that you could put down to the good weather, we’re happy with it.”
