Egan a true Kerry great, says Liston

John Egan will be remembered as one of Kerry’s greatest footballers, according to his former team-mate Eoin ‘Bomber’ Liston.

“John is a true Kerry great. There is no doubt about that. Maybe nowadays the word ‘great’ is used too often but we all know that John is a Kerry great, one of the best this county has ever produced or seen,” Liston said.

“People have said he was the most underrated footballer on that Kerry team at the time but he was never underrated among the team.
