The GAA has admitted it could set up its own dedicated digital television station if cutbacks at RTÉ continue to reduce their presence on the national airwaves.

President elect Liam O’Neill told the Sunday Business Post he was aware of a growing percentage of people watching sporting events online and believed it was an avenue they could go down some day.

“Other sporting bodies have done so successfully,” he said.
