Kerry make light of Ó Sé red

The pleasant weather conditions created the perfect atmosphere for football in Fitzgerald Stadium yesterday but despite also seeing another series of encouraging performances by their young players that helped secure victory, Kerry’s day was clouded by disciplinary problems.

Tomás Ó Sé returned to the starting Kingdom rearguard for the first time since being sent-off against Armagh in mid-February but saw his afternoon ended prematurely with a red card for an off-the-ball offence in the 10th minute.

Ó Sé headed straight for the dressing room after the incident and faces another spell on the sidelines after his third dismissal in a 10-month spell.
