London lick Armagh
The Exiles belied the fact it was their first competitive outing by firing an unanswered 1-6 in the opening 15 minutes, and they were out of sight by the interval, leading 2-12 to 0-1.
Kilkenny native Eddie Brennan grabbed both London goals, his first coming inside two minutes when he coolly finished while the second arrived moments before the interval after keeper Paddy Heaney could only parry a stinging drive. Cork’s Patrick Sloane was another to impress for the hosts. London took their foot off the gas in the second half, which allowed Armagh to get some points on the board through Donal Carvill and his brother Cathal.
