GAA silent on Lyons’ pay claim

The GAA have declined to comment on Tommy Lyons’ allegation that he was asked to name his price in an interview for the Mayo job.

Speaking on RTÉ Radio One on Thursday, the former Dublin and Offaly manager said he was told to put into an envelope the figure he was looking for to be paid. Lyons claimed he then said he did not accept payment.

While Lyons is standing by his remarks, Mayo have strenuously denied the allegation.
