Canning suffers injury blow
Canning was removed by ambulance to the Mid Western Hospital after a 43rd-minute clash and it was confirmed later by Cyril Farrell he had dislocated his AC joint. He is due to have a scan today but he’s probably looking at four to six weeks out and is now also certain to miss the Fitzgibbon finals in Cork next week.
“We’re very disappointed with the injury and how it happened,” said LIT boss Davy Fitzgerald. He was flying, he’s probably the best forward in the country.”
