NINE points from Davitts captain Michael Conroy propelled the Mayo champions into the All-Ireland Club intermediate football final as they ran out easy winners over Éire Óg, Greystones in Tullamore yesterday.

A first half goal from Fergal McGrath, and six points from Conroy, helped Davitts into a 1-8 to 0-2 lead at half-time.

David McDonagh’s 40th minute goal ended the game as a contest and Éire Óg were reduced to 14 men in the closing stages when Stephen Kelly picked up his second yellow card.
