Davey sparkles for Sligo

WING-BACK Johnny Davey's goal midway through the second-half and three perfect frees from substitute Colm McGee set up Sligo for a second successive FBD Connacht League win when they deservedly overcame IT Sligo by six points, 1-9 to 0-6, at a windy Quigabar.

IT Sligo, backed by a significant breeze in the second period, worked well to close an interval deficit of four points, 0-6 to 0-2, and only trailed by a point with 17 minutes left following good scores from Paul Garvey and Adrian Croal.
