League double-headers the way forward, insists Lane

CORK vice-chairman Ger Lane has called for more imagination from GAA fixture makers when scheduling league games.

League double-headers the way forward, insists Lane

He revealed the county board are aiming for a crowd of over 10,000 for a unique double-header involving the county’s two flagship senior teams on March 18. The Cork hurlers will face Galway in a Division 1A clash on that Sunday afternoon at 12.45pm with the Cork footballers facing Kerry later at 2.30pm in a Division 1 tie.

Lane believes that is the type of measure must be pursued more often in order to attract supporters.
