Students see off London
Galway player Cummins’ strike helped the hosts lead by four points at the break (1-3 to 0-2) and they continued to reel off fine scores in the second period, with Roscommon native Paul Garvey landing six points on the night. London, competing in the FBD Connacht League for the first time, netted after 55 minutes through Peter Atkinson.
This goal reduced the deficit to five points but the students were never in danger of relinquishing their firm advantage.
