Dublin expenses ‘not surprising’

DUBLIN chairman Andy Kettle insists there was no surprise in the county breaking Cork’s record for inter-county team expenses.

Dublin spent €1.75m in preparing their sides this year compared to the previous highest set by Cork in 2010 when they hit the €1.5m figure.

Kettle said: “I think I mentioned a figure of €2m once upon a time but with the amount of progress and success we had with teams in both codes inter-county team expenses were bound to be high.
