GAA and AFL consider future path of Rules Series

GAA President Christy Cooney, who said the Association has received no indication that the AFL’s interest in the series has waned, confirmed they would raise the matter of the workability of the break, the next one coming next year.

“They’re due to come to us in 2013 and as far as we’re concerned, that will go ahead,” stated Cooney. “We’ll probably talk to them about what we’ll do after 2013-2014 and review whether the one-year break is working — whether there should be a break or not.”
