Murphy confident Irish can counter Aussie backlash

MICHAEL MURPHY expects an Australian backlash on Friday but is confident Ireland will be able to withstand it.

The Donegal captain had an excellent game in the Etihad Stadium, complementing his goal and two overs as well as two goal assists with some crunching tackles.

“It’s nice for the forwards because we’re always on the receiving end of it and we get a bit of flak for not tackling,” said the Glenswilly man.
