Veteran Moloney delights in ‘chance of a lifetime’

IT was only on Thursday night that veteran Andy Moloney knew he would be in the Ballygunner team for yesterday’s Waterford senior hurling final.

Having spent most of the campaign in the role of impact substitute, the 35-year-old Tipperary native realised he was being handed a ‘chance of a lifetime’.

Just one of two survivors from the team that landed the Munster Club championship title for the only time in the club’s history a decade ago, Moloney more than justified the confidence team management placed in him.
