Cahalane has learnt from harsh lesson

A HUMBLING experience on a Sunday afternoon last February helped focus Castlehaven’s minds ahead of last month’s county SFC semi-final against Carbery Rangers, according to attacker Seanie Cahalane.

Castlehaven were comprehensively beaten, 3-13 to 1-4, by Carbery in a Division 1 FL tie at Rosscarbery. When the sides renewed acquaintances in the championship, Castlehaven braced themselves for a serious test yet this time it was they who ran out comfortable winners.

“When we played them earlier on in the league, they gave us a right crunching altogether,” recalled Cahalane.
