Emmetts too hot to handle
Too often, St Gabriels were left to rely on the accurate free taking of their Cork born forward Martin Finn and while the Dromina man goaled in the second period, Emmetts never looked in danger.
Tipperary’s Kevin Bolger played a significant role from centre field, along with his defence where Niall Healy, John Anderson and Eddie Walsh were all prominent.
But up front their touch was deadly and when former Wexford player Peter Atkinson flicked home a deflected drive on 53 minutes, the result was beyond doubt.
