Cork clubs left in the dark once again

JUST when you thought it was safe to go back into the committee room...

The extraordinary decision made in Páirc Uí Chaoimh last Tuesday night to extend the tenure of the secretary of the Cork County Board has, understandably, provoked more than a little comment.

If you are unaware of the sequence of events, an otherwise humdrum meeting of the board went into behind-closed-doors mode to discuss the redevelopment of Páirc Uí Chaoimh, and then a surprise was sprung.
