Dubs sacrificed lucrative offers

DUBLIN’S footballers turned down tens of thousands of euro worth of promotional work in the lead-up to last Sunday’s All-Ireland final victory.

Up to a dozen companies expressed interest in associating themselves with the players before the decider against Kerry. During the season, several of the well-known players also passed off promotional work to unemployed teammates and students.
