KERRY’s Declan O’Sullivan may have been suffering from concussion when he turned over possession for the vital goal that sparked Dublin’s late comeback in Sunday’s dramatic All-Ireland final.

O’Sullivan may have been concussed for Dubs’ key score

O’Sullivan took a heavy hit from Dublin’s Ger Brennan early in the second half and it’s believed he returned to the action slightly concussed. “He was definitely not in full possession of all his faculties,” said one Kerry source yesterday. “Even the way McManamon brushed past him for the goal was very un-Declan like.”

Kerry’s management has been second-guessed since the defeat over its substitutions but some clarity has emerged with regard to Eoin Brosnan’s replacement late on. The Dr Crokes man had serious problems with cramp, forcing his withdrawal.
