Harrington’s late strike earns reprieve for Carrigaline

A POINT by full-back Gary Harrington three minutes into injury time gave Carrigaline a deserved draw in a thrilling Premier IFC relegation final at Blarney on Saturday.

Had Carrig lost they could have put it down to some woeful shooting which saw them kick 10 wides, seven in the first half into the strong wind.

Grenagh for their part, had the chance to win the game when they were awarded a penalty in the 62nd minute, but Dee Dee Dorgan opted for the point which gave his side a slender lead, only to be pegged back by that late Harrington equaliser.
