DONEGAL manager Jim McGuinness has spoken for the first time of his annoyance at what he labelled ‘disrespectful’ comments about his players following their All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Dublin.

After the 0-8 to 0-6 defeat, Donegal were derided by pundits for their style of play – particularly on The Sunday Game, where panellists Colm O’Rourke, Pat Spillane and Joe Brolly were critical.

“It annoyed me,” McGuinness said.
