Kingdom schedule on hold

KERRY’S county senior football championship programme has been put on hold until early October following their qualification for next month’s All-Ireland SFC final with Sunday’s semi-final success over Mayo.

The last eight will not commence until October 2 when last year’s semi-finalists Dingle face divisional outfit East Kerry in Austin Stack Park with the remaining last eight ties taking place the following weekend.

West Kerry play Kerins O’Rahilly’s in Austin Stack Park on October 8 with a double-header the following day in Fitzgerald Stadium seeing Rathmore take on Mid Kerry before Dr Crokes and Austin Stacks face off in a repeat of last year’s decider.

The semi-finals of the county championship are down for decision on October 15 with no date set for the final.

Kerry’s representatives in the Munster club senior football championship do not face their opening assignment until November 6 when they meet the Waterford champions.

Meanwhile the Kerry club championship semi-finals have been scheduled for October 1.

And here the programme sees Dr Crokes taking on Rathmore with Laune Rangers meeting Kerins O’Rahilly’s.
