Carrick Swan get championship reprieve

CARRICK SWAN were sensationally reinstated in the South Tipperary and county senior hurling championships last night.

After being thrown out of both competitions last week following their failure to fulfil the South SHC semi-final replay against Mullinahone on Sunday, July 24, Swan took their case to the Tipperary County Board hearings committee.

That hearing was due to take place last week but was not heard until last evening, resulting in the postponement of last Sunday’s scheduled South final between Mullinahone and Swan’s local rivals Carrick Davin.
