The experience of being in Kerry or of living a life in Kerry during the summer months had been diluted because of the regularity of clashes with the Rebel county and I imagined it to be the same in many parts of Cork.

If last year’s drawn Munster SFC semi-final game in Killarney did little to ignite the passions, the replay and extra-time drama in Páirc Uí Chaoimh more than compensated.
