McGuinness reaping the rewards of making tough calls

A WELL-informed Donegal man told me earlier in the year why Jim McGuinness might struggle to succeed as manager of his native county.

In short, he believed Jim’s unflinching loyalty to his fellow Glenties clubmen would undermine his ability to select the best team. I put it to the back of my mind until Sunday.

Only two Glenties men, Anthony Thompson and Dermot Molloy, started against Antrim.
