No date set yet for Murphy departure

CORK chairman Jerry O’Sullivan last night informed board delegates that no decision had yet been made in relation to when current secretary Frank Murphy will step down from his role.

It was announced at a board meeting in September 2009 that Murphy’s tenure would come to an end over the course of the following two years and while no definitive decision has yet been made on the issue, O’Sullivan revealed that he is hopeful of developments arising shortly.

“We have not forgotten about this issue”, stated O’Sullivan in response to a query from a board delegate. “There is a sub-committee working away on the issue and they’ll continue to work on that. We’ll be letting you know in due course.”
