Hickey out to make a mark with rejuvenated Limerick

SEAMUS HICKEY does not think he ever took donning the Limerick jersey for granted.

Answering the county call always carried a great resonance for the Murroe-Boher man. And yet spending a year away from the trenches will force any inter-county player to reevaluate his standing.

In 2007, Hickey blazed a trail in his freshman season and was regarded as the best young hurler in the land by the end of that campaign.
