Nifty Nemo always in control

LAST year’s Cork Premier IFC semi-finalists St Vincent’s came undone in the first round against Nemo Rangers on Saturday night at Páirc Uí Rinn.

Nifty Nemo always in control

Nemo controlled the game for long periods and were thoroughly deserving of their comfortable 2-8 to 0-7 victory. Vincent’s did the one thing you’re never meant to do against Nemo: give them space. They paid a heavy price for same.

The experience of Eddie Brophy, Darragh Breen, Alan Morgan, Shane Marshall and David Kearney coupled with the youthful exuberance of David Nation and Eric Deloughrey meant the Saints were always chasing the game and must now beat Grenagh in the back door to stay in the championship.
