Murray and Quinn impressive for slick Saffrons

A TOTAL of 2-6 from Ryan Murray and Kevin Quinn enabled Antrim to get their Ulster MFC off to a flying start in Ballybofey yesterday.

Murray and Quinn impressive for slick Saffrons

Murray blazed a penalty over Lee McBrearty’s crossbar after Dermot McAleese was hauled down by Conor Patton in the fourth minute but he was to play a big part over the hour. The visitors went in at the break leading by four points, 1-6 to 0-5.

Antrim scored 1-4 without reply in the first-half that included a somewhat fortuitous goal on 11 minutes when a miscued pop at goal by Murray was palmed into the net by the eager Quinn.
