Tannian blow for Tribesmen
Tannian, who hit 2-11 from play in five league matches, broke a thumb and ruptured ligaments in a club game and faces at least two months on the sideline.
The 27-year-old picked up theinjury playing for Ardrahan against Kiltormer in the Galway SHC on Sunday evening and the extent of the injury has confirmed Galway’s worst fears.
Galway open the championship campaign against Westmeath or Carlow on June 4, with a Leinster semi-final date against either Dublin or Offaly two weeks later, and Tannian stands little of chance of being fit for those games.
