Dublin hurlers to open at HQ

THE Leinster Council last night confirmed Croke Park as the venue for Dublin’s opening game of the hurling championship.

Dublin hurlers to open at HQ

Following the surprise 42,300 attendance at the Allianz Hurling League Division 1 final at Croke Park on Sunday, Dublin County Board chairman Andy Kettle called for their game with Offaly to be moved from Parnell Park to Croke Park, and his wish was granted yesterday with the game pencilled in for May 29 at 2 p.m. at headquarters

No decision was made on a possible double-header as the Wexford hurlers face either Antrim or Laois in the other Leinster quarter-final.
