GAA president-Elect Liam O’Neill is fully behind Central Council’s motion calling for playing rules to be addressed on an annual basis, if so desired.

The Association is currently bound by a rule which states they can only change or experiment with playing rules every five years.

However, it is uncertain whether the proposal will receive the required two-thirds majority.
