Fox on inter-county duty again

WESTMEATH whistler Pat Fox has been finally appointed to officiate an inter-county senior football game after seven weeks in the refereeing wilderness.

Fox on inter-county duty again

Fox takes charge of Sunday’s Allianz FL Division One game between Galway and Dublin in Pearse Stadium.

Fox has not overseen an inter-county clash since the Tyrone v Donegal Division Two fixture on February 19, when Tyrone’s Ryan McMenamin was yellow carded for a clash with Paddy McGrath. It was understood the CCCC asked Fox to review video evidence ahead of a possible retroactive suspension.

Fox stood by his decision which created speculation that it led to his absence from inter-county fare, a suggestion denied by GAA match officials manager Pat Doherty.
