Cadogan satisfied with Cork’s first step on road to Thurles
The 1-14 apiece tie leaves the Munster rivals in joint fourth place on five points in the league table but Cadogan feels that focus is starting to shift towards the summer
He said: “I don’t think anyone could say that either team wanted to lose that game. Both teams were going at it hard. Anytime you go out to play you always want to win, in hindsight this was a stepping stone towards the championship game. You saw the intensity there, neither team wanted to lose, so I think that everybody is going to be looking forward to May 29. We’d be disappointed that we didn’t win it, but getting a draw against the All-Ireland champions is still a creditable result.”
